Re: Players' Championship Spain 2 - Melia Benidorm
Have the Crawley entries been announced yet? If not, does anyone know if Adrian Lewis has entered? He might be regretting it if he hasn't... If he hasn't entered, he will realistically need to win one of the final two events to qualify for the Players Championship finals. Crawley deadline has close...

Re: Taylors dominance
Barney's always the first to suffer from the heat, not Phil. Just saw he lost to Wes in the semi's, but anyway let's say he's back a bit and he may be past the worst bit of his Taylor-syndrome. No player in darts has had a streak against Taylor. Even in Barneys great 2007 Taylor still had the super...

Very bad for Nicholson and his premier league hopes. Sky will now hype Barney as the second coming of christ.BrideOfFrankenstein wrote:Taylor finished???

Re: Taylors dominance
Mallorca saw Taylor's streak over Barney end, be it because the Power missed a few match darts, but as some(one) on the forum would say or hope: "He's back!". Barney, that is. ;) BTW The Taylor-Barney streak must have been close to the Undertaker's at Wrestlemania (19-0)... I'd imagine Ta...

Re: Taylors dominance
great player cant knock him, as a man dislike strongly, cant knock the fella for his dedication and take any of his achievements away, i think the split fell at the perfect time for him and built his confidence, but im not a fan To this day Taylor still has the record average for a BDO world final....

Whats interesting though is that even through Taylors year "off" he still turned it on against Barney.JeroenvdV wrote:I agree that IF Barney has a chance to beat Taylor this is by far the best chance..

Re: Taylors dominance
Whilst i never support Taylor to win any tournament, there is absolutely no doubt that Phil has singularly taken the sport of Darts to a level which would have not been possible without him. His participation has seen Sky tv invest millions, prize money gone to levels beyond anyone's expectations a...

Re: lewis v adams
never understood why a player would do that ...if true, Surely a player would just tell his manager he aint doing any more as he had enough. sadly it is true that was the reason for taylor bumping up the price , i agree with you if they only want to do 1 a week then tell the manager , there will co...

Re: lewis v adams
Isnt this the reason he charges what he does to cut down on the number of exhibitions?. I'm sure i read that somewhere. Some of the other players seem to be unintentionally pricing themselves out of the market though . never understood why a player would do that ...if true, Surely a player would ju...

Re: lewis v adams
I cannot see where a venue will recover costs, especially Phil Taylor, a club in Yorkshire has booked him for £5,000, at £20 a ticket you need 250 can't see it these days, as they can see him play on tele millions of times a year, much better to put the money into an event lasting all day, more cha...

Re: lewis v adams
Martin Adams darts club world title is regarded as a bit of a joke nowadays. And Lewis's was his only ever major title so lacks the pulling power.

Paul Nicholson has no more bottle than you average dart player. What I will say though is that he has the impression of having bottle. At this very moment he is a slightly better than average player , his ranking supports this. But he is the best hype player out there. I want him in the PL, it woul...

Re: Switching rumours
Perhaps they should give priority to entrants who can show they have a financial package in place to do the tour! Or the guys with the backing get their entries in early. I've watched your bitter posts for a while. Taylor, Wade etc are part of a competitive game. Expecting people lower down the ran...

The 3rd best darter ever. But because of the split Barney and probably others are wrongly rated higher.

Re: European Championship - Best Tv tourney for years?
Right my thoughts :-) Excellent tournament and some classic matches, stand out was Huybrechts beating Newton, real top performance from an unknown (although been a fine player in the WDF) Venue looked superb, sort of a cross between Lakeside and Wolverhampton Crowd were fantastic and loved the buil...
