Re: TV Averages +105
I'm a bit shocked there were no 105+ averages before the last 4 or 5 years off tv (i thought there was more even in that time frame). But Slymaster has the low down on all games off TV. There have been many off TV but I have no confirmation/knowledge of it. Just included a few of them (some sort of...

Re: limits to players ability!!
Not a betting man. It's obviouslyrudimentary but just emphasizing what i observe. Who cares though i suspect Taylor will keep on winning no matter what.rout wrote:Let me know what odds you get on that.

Re: limits to players ability!!
Phil Taylor i'd suspect loves Rod Harrington doing alot of his mind games for him and probably why Taylor repeatedly goes on about practice. Taylor practices 2 hours a day according to ex practice partners. I'd expect alot of the top pros match that. G Anderson for example said he can average 120 i...

Re: Taylor A Disgrace?
We get threads like this after every tournament on every forum. Taylors problem is he hasnt got the charisma and sharp wittedness of Bristow so people dont realise what his game is. He is a master at the mind games and getting under players skin which his interviews are desighned to do. With darts p...

Re: limits to players ability!!
I think a few people like Chris Mason have said it's garbage that Taylor practices more than alot of the other players it's just mind games.

I'd prefer a handicap system if your changing just to try and stifle Taylor. Atleast then your being honest about things.

Re: sky
dont know if this has been done but i guess its been talked about but havent had time to read all - surley something has to be said / done about sky working the crowd in play ? poor old walshie had it in his game with painter where they showed taylor backroom knowing crowd would react - TWICE on wa...

Re: sky
Taylor is the greatest player ever and proves it time and again BUT he's being overhyped by all of the Sky crew to the extreme. I know they consider him their key product, their flagship if you like, but there's a few other players too deserving a piece of attention. And that's words from me as a T...

Re: More on Sky.....
The last time Taylor wasn't on "prime time/main board" he lost to Jahn Part on board 2 of the Uk Open and SKY were gutted. Phil is nearly always on prime time as he is the top drawing ratings puller, no more logic needed there BUT SKy could think about other people a bit more.... It's not...

Re: More on Sky.....
The scheldules were posted before the tournament started and with only ONE afternoon session someone was always going to be last on then play in the afternoon. Jelle also played last night, finished around 8.30pm, so not much difference for him. Saying that I think that SkyPdc should have put one o...

Re: sky coverage- usual lack of interviews.
:angry5: there you go a wonderful incident packed tense and emotional end to the painter/walsh game with great sportsmanship between the players but NO interview- cut straight to rod coz power is up next!i feel that is disrespectful to painter/walsh and quite frankly taking the **** exactly!! if we...

Re: sky coverage- usual lack of interviews.
Taylor will get a big promo at the start of the show, highlights of the Bates game, an interview after his game and then a highlights package dedicated to his win. Sky will also wax lyrical over Barney's performances so far even though he's not playing tonight. To be honest, I'm sick of the Taylor ...

Re: So Who Is The 2nd Greatest Player Of All Time
I love this discussion although I doubt if the majority of the forum members have actually seen Eric perform in the eighties. I have and I have seen practically all of Raymond's matches too. There's just a razor blade's space between them, really. They're both tremendous darts players and icons of ...

Re: Sid Waddell
Twaddell is doing what he's told to do!. When Taylor was struggling and looked finished in 07 Twaddell was dumping on him from a great height. I wish people would recognize this and post accordingly. A Sky employee told to hype there product on tv is all twaddle is.

Re: TSOD's 4th Greatest player of all time
I regard Priestley as number 3. If he'd stayed in the BDO he'd of likely won several world titles. Van Barneveld is my number 4.
