Re: LADBROKES WORLD CHAMPS - DAY 7 DISCUSSION

Oh dear Bomber. Not gonna slag him off his missus was ranting at someone on here the other day That was me. She decided to bring that loud mouth to bear on me but I gave her short thrift . Grow a pair man and say what you like. It's a free country. He's an average darts player; everyone can see it....

Re: BDO Counties - how many are there?

Avon was a (failed) administrative County, and covered Bristol and its suburbs. Some of those suburbs are now part of some new adminstrative counties. For example Kingswood is now part of South Gloucestershire. Keynsham is part of Bath and North East Somerset. Bristol is a town and County, and has a...

Re: BDO Counties - how many are there?

I have had a look at the Aberdeen Darts Associations fixture book and it says that the Association was instituded in 1937, so where do people get the year 1938 from? I think the league stopped for a year during the war, but could be wrong. Who has the biggest league in the UK just out of interest? ...

Re: World Matchplay 1/4 Finals

RTL7 are now showing the Taylor-Newton match on TV after having streamed it on the net live earlier. Newton was awesome but blown away by relentless finishing by Taylor in the second episode of the game. After that Taylor was freewheeling and showboating, terrific darts to watch. Lewis and Wade can...

Re: To be taken seriously.

If it is Tony Proctor from C****** can we not get a phone number and contact his parents or the police ? It's about time someone did it. The police won't do anything. I had my emails hacked into and online forums and secret messages were displayed publicly which upset quite a few people. He also fo...

Re: Players Championships OR Masters

Thats the bbcs fault trev, not the bdo's And the BDO don't do anything to change it..... Somehow, I seriously doubt that's what we'd see if the BBC covered a PDC event. The PDC wouldn't put up with it. real head in the sand moment. As stated earlier, you do realise dart players (a high %% of them) ...

Re: Gold Cup Entry List

The West of England Darts team predated Avon. Avon hasn't existed since 1996 (and never should have - smelly administrative county). Bristol is a Town and County. The West of England Darts Team basically covers the Bristol area and parts of South Gloucestershire (which used to be East Bristol).

Re: BDO Counties - how many are there?

Avon hasn't existed since 1996. I'm pretty sure that the 'West of England' name predated and outlived the Avon name. I never really classed Avon a County. The Counties were Bristol, Somerset and Gloucestershire (historic counties). Stupid administrative Counties. It's now Bristol, South Gloucestersh...

Re: Attention All BDO Haters

I used to be as guilty as anyone at taking cheap shots at the BDO (esp the blazers), but I just don't care about the whole PDC vs BDO crap anymore. Let's face it, none of this affects most of us. As fans, all that should matter is the darts. Yes, I think people have a right to criticise both organi...

I broke my point the other week, and the shop couldn't get them out either, so I gave them to a make who fixes antiques (clever chap) who got them out in about five minutes. Don't ask me how. Problem was that I kept hold of the darts for several weeks before giving them to my mate, so started playin...

Re: Great Britian VS Rest Of The World

I don't think Barry Hearn would let any of his players play in it if it was run by anyone other than himself. Correct , and im sure Chris is very aware of this , which it makes it strange that he would even think he could get the players from the PDC to play in it. And with the very greatest of res...

Re: My sacrifice for the game I love!!

Cardio before Weights. Are you mad?? You should never spend more than an hour in the gym. If you want to do cardio, keep it high intensity (two minutes on, two minutes off) and to less than twenty minutes, and always after the weight training. Make sure you eat enough protein, and you get enough sle...

Re: Great Britian VS Rest Of The World

I would also make this England v The Rest of The World. Sorry, Rudy, but think this would just make it more competitive and the games closer. I would make it over a weekend, and each game at least the first to eight. (best of 15) and 10 or 12 players in a side. Or have it like the premier league, so...
