Re: Shake up in USA Darts????

Wednesday, October 14, 2015 Column 503 “The truth is violated by falsehood but outraged by silence.” Let’s be clear about something. Larry Butler’s recent accomplishment at the Winmau World Maters was Larry Butler’s accomplishment. Ain’t no one else’s. Ain’t no organization’s claim to fame (although...

Championship Darts Circuit Fantasy League

Hey! Am hoping some of you might be receptive to participating in this. Over here many of us are involved in pools and betting on Premier League and the World Champuonship. Take a look at the link - and of course I will understand if you're not interested. It's just for fun. It's easy, quick (takes ...

Did the Incas invent darts?

If you are a regular follower of the Dartoid's World column, in addition to being certifiably whacked you will be aware that this fall or next spring Stacy Bromberg and I will be traveling to Peru and then Chile to tour Machu Picchu and Easter Island and introduce our sport to the ancestors of the I...

Hey, Big Bang Theory: WHAT THE COITUS?!

Any dart player - steel or soft or wood, and even magnetic or lawn or Nerf - that has seen the CBS smash hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory knows (Dartboard! Dartboard!) that the board hanging on roommates Sheldon Cooper's and Leonard Hofstadter's apartment door is approximately a foot too low. In the e...

Re: My Darts Blog! http://jambosdarts.blog.co.uk

Justin Credible - your comments are discouraging. You say that I suggested a match was fixed. I did not. To the extent there was any misunderstanding I published a second column ("A conversation with Tommy Cox") that made this crystal clear. All I did was report the rumblings that were out...

Re: My Darts Blog! http://jambosdarts.blog.co.uk

Just a word. Jamie Barron (Jambo) is a very talented writer, just 15 years old with a passion for darts - and a goal to someday be a sports journalist. I am as pleased as can be to help him, feature him, promote him. Frankly, he writes better than anyone his age I have ever met. He's from Yorkshire....

Re: Taylor's "transfer" deal

Hey Cannibal... Gotta say, Little Walter is probably my favorite as well. I've been working on Juke for weeks (will probably never get it!). Adam is amazing; he and Satan were simply unbelievable (am going over to Orlando with a friend in a couple weeks to hear Adam play). Have been attending John G...

Re: Taylor's "transfer" deal

You may be right Cat. If I proceed it will only be to piss off Cannibal. Probably I'll write about walk-on girls instead. Of course, Cannibal likes willies. I just can't win.

Re: Taylor's "transfer" deal

Am not saying is not surprising. I am only saying that by my way of thinking loyalty trumps money. Sorry, all I was after really was a definition of "transfer" but it's my fault for stirring the pot with my editorial comment. I'll let the column speak for itself.

Re: Taylor's "transfer" deal

Thanks Trotter. That's what I figured. I do concur with Crusader's viewpoint though. If I had Taylor's bank account (and a nearly two-decades relationship with Unicorn to thank, in part, for it) I would think the price of loyalty would be a whole lot more that what he "transferred" for.

Taylor's "transfer" deal

Can someone please help me? Taylor's deal with Target has been described as the richest-ever "transfer" in darts. Does "transfer" have some special legal meaning in the UK? Does it mean that Taylor was still under contract with Unicorn when the deal was negotiated/inked? Or is &q...

Re: Taylor target darts

They coming into line price wise with Asia and the states where I'm guessing they will be pushed the most. Not exactly. At $132 the price may be acceptable to some in Japan, maybe Hong Kong but not elsewhere in Asia. And I can count the number of people in the US who will pay such a price. If Tiger...

Re: Taylor strikes again

I find it absolutely dumbfounding that Dicie and Nikkiboy (and me last week) are getting slagged for stating what is so blatantly obvious - and I find it equally astonishing that the DRA or the PDC seem unwilling to deal with it.
