Re: BDO Delegates Meeting, 19/04/2020
That was the major flaw with Torre, they made participation dependent upon paying through BDO, although they are not a travel agency and not ATOL protected (not to mention they wanted double the price of the room). There were also different terms for different people, in breach of both BDO rules &am...

Re: Gibraltar vs The BDO
Due to Covid19 contingencies all darts in Gibraltar are currently suspended. All bars, clubs & restaurants must close by 8pm. The GDA Venue has been taken over by the Health Authority. So Gibraltar Open is postponed, so are all domestic tournaments and leagues.

Re: Gibraltar vs The BDO
Not the one that Gibraltar members are being "offered". It's £70 per person, 3 night minimum, half board.

Re: Gibraltar vs The BDO
The GDA only made the initial post to make their members aware of the situation. Nothing disgraceful or unfounded in it. The rest of the comments were made by other people many of whom are not even GDA members. Gibraltar players have been playing in the Torremolinos Comp for over 20 years without is...

Re: BDO tournaments no longer recognised by WDF and BDO relegated to Associate Member
The WDF is the World Governing Body so it makes sense that they should run any world ranking system and should be running any World Championships. Official tournaments should be run by that nation's Federation. You don't get other Federations running official tournaments in other nations, why should...

Q
So why do the Gibraltans have to come to the UK now and not go to the European q-school? It's based on Nationality and Gibraltarians have a British passport. A British citizen living in Germany next door to the venue would still have to go to UK Q-School. A German living in UK needs to go to Europe...

Re: World Cup Japan
Gala was ¥5000 (£36) - beer was ¥800 (£5.70)
Member countries pay a fee, which has now gone up to a minimum of $490. For every WDF Ranked event the organiser must pay $2 per player registration.

Re: World Cup Japan
"without the brits".....there were Brits there from Gibraltar. They beat Trinidad & Tobago 9-2, but lost to Finland & Belgium. As regards the Gala dinner we got a few small bits of beef & a minuscule portion of veg....and that was it. Food ran out almost immediately, most went ...

Re: World Cup Japan
Unfortunately in Gibraltar there are insufficient woman players with the skills / inclination to attend major internationl events. There are only a few playing regularly. GDA is keen to increase women's participation in the sport.BlueSpark wrote:Gibraltar only sending a men's team as well

Not sure where the £30,000 figure came from. Much smaller nations are attending and did not spend anywhere near that sum. Do EDO expect to travel by private jet or something?

Justin Who?
There is a blog which some of you may be aware of writen by someone calling himself "Justin Credible". This person has a feature entitled "Kn*b of the week" despite the fact that he often appears to deserve that accolade far more than some of the people he nominates. I have just ...

Re: World Masters Day 1 (Thursday)
An apology to the GDA would have been nice. You say "but strangely they offer nothing to back up their claim"....you have been told by the GDA President that the GDA had no female representation there. The GDA has no idea who this woman is. If someone were to provide a name or a photo we m...

Re: World Masters Day 1 (Thursday)
What I do know for a fact....a fact which you seem to overlook is that your rant about the "woman from Gibraltar" is utter rubbish. There was no "woman from Gibraltar" at the Winmau this year, I know this for a fact. Whatever this woman may have said or done if you wish to critic...
