Is it time to change your darts?
Is the fit right? I have written quite a bit about the time when you change your set-up and the method to do it. From another angle, is it worth adapting when something is not a good fit? So perhaps it could be good time to have a step change and look at your darts. Perhaps now you would benefit fro...

Do you need a plan in darts?
We have five months left before we start our 200 mile charity Coast to Coast in August. What has been interesting in the build-up is our schedule or the lack of it. Up to now we have met at weekends and either entered a race or gone on a longish training run. This week though we sat down and schedul...

DK DARTS Youth Scholarship Fund
For the last two years I have assisted two youth players, firstly David Pallett and this year Johny Bryan. From next year I wish to formalise this scholarship fund. So each December I would welcome applications from youth players as to why they should benefit from this fund. Applications will be rev...

What made you the best?
Can you remember how much practice and effort you put it in to first achieve your peak in your current sport whether that be darts or for me Ultra running. For my first London to Brighton run of 55 miles I worked very hard for 18 months before the race. On occasions I ran twice a day and by the time...

Re: Personal Coaches in Darts
And further to note players bodies naturally change with age and perhaps their throw or stance may need slight adjustment but again as already mentioned the natural approach for this section of the game is always preferable. I also like the thread on nutrition as this plays such an important factor ...

Re: Personal Coaches in Darts
I agree with so much that has been written above. As mentioned in my original post, just looking at the winter Olympics, the role the coach plays is essential in the final product. I am finding working with the next generation of darts player coming through, that they are receptive to working with a...

Re: Personal Coaches in Darts
It will be interesting to see when players feel confident about being associated with a coach especially in the public arena.

Personal Coaches in Darts
I am sure like me you have watched some of the winter Olympics. What I find fascinating are the support teams that surround these athletes. Obviously from my point of view the coaches are an interesting point. When you listen to the athletes debrief their performances, a lot of emphasis is placed on...
