This is yet another reason to look at upping the number of pro tour places, or even splitting the Challenger tour into separate ones for Uk and Europe. The numbers need to be manageable. Its a combination of the PDC's success and the BDO's failings.

I'm sure they could add another 64 tour cards. Players ranked 65 down play in the 1st round of Pro tour events top 64 get a bye to round too. Rankings updated after each event.

Surely with the numbers attending its time to look at restricting the pro tour to include a higher number, or run a challenger tour prem and div 1 based on finishing spots on the q-school oom. Potentially run a promotion and relegation system at the end of the year.

How long until we see the players tweeted their attendance or non-attendance then? I reckon we will start hearing on Thursday once new year's is out the way. What would happen if certain players did decide not to play anyway? Fake names in the draw again leading to byes? Or wildcard entries?
