Re: Welsh Open
The PDC age restriction is 16, which makes sense for an organization run for darts professionals. They have chaperone rules for under 18s. BDO normal adult age is 18, which makes sense for something that at an amateur level has pubs at its heart. Troll comment about the BDO aside, I agree with this...

Re: Welsh Open
The pdc are streets ahead of the bdo in most areas. Why have they got age restrictions if the idea to lift them is so good? Just a thought: maybe the sponsors (betting firms) wouldn't want 'their' champ bring a 14yr old kid? Maybe not but the BDO possibly would You moan when BDO have restrictions &...

Re: Welsh Open
Why have they got age restrictions if the idea to lift them is so good? Because the BDO is a non-profit organisation that wants to provide darts for all. Fantastic logic :DDD: The BDO is run to provide an outlet for everyone to play darts and any profit is put back into the game. Letting players of...

Re: Welsh Open
For some reason it doesn't sit right with me re kids qualifying for lakeside (boys or girls).. good publicity or short term novelty publicity? 3 or 4 kids qualifying in a couple of years,: would that look good for the bdo? I don't think so. The hype from bdo quarters speaks of desperation to me. Wh...

Re: Welsh Open
No dears, Des Jacklin said that the deals were not confirmed. He said that he believed they would be confirmed and announced in weeks. Wake up.

Re: Welsh Open
So the deals aren’t in place then are they. Otherwise they would have been shouted from the rooftops Let's look at it this way, the deals were in place and then something cropped up. That's what the Jacklins have said. It's a false narrative to accuse the Jacklins of lying. There is no evidence. Is...

Re: Welsh Open
Heard there was a good turnout this weekend. Heard a few whispers that an announcement is coming very soon. Oooo. Are you announcing an announcement? Des has been doing that since the start of the year but we've never actually had the announcements. Let alone confirmation of venues, tickets and spo...

Re: PDC Premier League 2019
The over celebrating makes a lot of PDC players hard to watch these days. Its more like a contest to see who can put the opponent off, sad. The DRA should come down hard on all involved before it gets even worse.

Re: Road to BDO World Championship 2020
My county captain says it will be at Lakeside. A wise move. It is the BDOs base.
