Re: Betfair World Matchplay - DRAW
I fancy Van Barneveld each way for this one (and when I say I fancy him, I mean i'm sexually attracted to him); he's away from Taylor and he's been playing very well this year, since his Worlds humiliation; he just keeps having the odd bad game that costs him. But this is a long format and if there'...

Re: Betfair World Matchplay - DRAW
Ninge you are applying your logic across the whole spectrum of darts players. I am saying that they are all different. How can you know what one player will do as compared to another. Its not about me having info to prove he is fit, I am asking how you know he will turn up to play even if hes not f...

Re: Betfair World Matchplay - DRAW
What gives you that impression? If hes not fit he wont play, simple as. You mean like Denis Ovens wasnt fit to play at the Worlds and pulled out? The Jock blinkers are on, folks! Couple of points for you. Anderson isnt Ovens. Anderson doesnt need the money. You forgot the third one: Anderson is Jes...

Re: EURO TOUR THREE - DISCUSSION
It doesn't remotely surprise me to find that a lot of these Sportstat averages are wrong. I've been scratching my head at them since they began. Now, i'm well aware that the player with the highest average doesn't neccesarily win the game but if you look at the statistics for a TV event, I would est...

Re: EURO TOUR THREE - DISCUSSION
Andy Hamilton (103.82) 5 (11) 6 (94.76) James Hubbard A small lesson there for atif, hammer averages almost 104 but James plays well at the right times and clocks out a superb finish on the bull to win. A lesson in what way? My point wasn't 'the player with the higher average will always win the ga...

Re: EURO TOUR THREE - DISCUSSION
Notice how much lower the averages are in this event compared to the usual floor events? The PDC is producing pampered players who can't handle an audience. Not fair ATIF, many of these games have a lot more on them than the result of one game. Some of the younger players are proving they can learn...

Disappointed with this draw. I'd like Hubbard to qualify for the Matchplay but I also want the Hammer to overtake RVB in the OOM.

Re: EURO TOUR THREE - DISCUSSION
Let me guess: someone dropped a pin during the game, Pipe went on to lose and then looked away from his opponent whilst shaking hands to swear at said pin dropper. And probably call him a 'girl'.spaceman70 wrote:Pipe 3 - 6 Vos.

Re: 2012 WORLD MATCHPLAY - Qualification Watch
Update after European Tour Event 2 (2 Players Championships and 1 European Tour Event remaining) 4 ANDERSON, Gary £279,500 Anderson's first-round £200 have been scratched due to his not completing the match, it seems. Very harsh considering he travelled to Berlin FFS! Are you joking? This walking o...

Re: Premier League 2013
Klassen wasn't in the top 32 & they wheeled him in He was. Not by much, mind. Well he wasn't when the PL finished I honest can't remember. I don't remember him doing, there isn't much money to be defended that time of year. Only reason I remember is he was being interviewed on Sky Sports News b...

Re: UK OPEN - DISCUSSION
Taylor is nowhere near at his best in this tournament yet, the 110 ave against Baxter not withstanding. He's not comfortable up there for some reason and he's worrying about his opponents, which shows he's vunerable. Jenkins could well take him out this afternoon; he's playing really well and has ha...

Re: Barney's view on the Silent Tour.
Players use crowd noise as an excuse when they lose or don't perform. Plain and simple. But they seem to cope with the hubbub of the UK Open well enough. It's great to hear these noises being made. It's about two years too late but at last maybe they'll finally end this elitist folly of closed door ...

Re: UK OPEN - DISCUSSION
Yet again its the usual suspects on the main stage, they do this every year and it annoys me no end! That said I think they've got the line up right this afternoon but my only gripe is that there is no Winstanley on the TV stage. If Jenkins takes him out it'll will be a travesty that a TV tournamen...

Re: UK OPEN - DISCUSSION
Why are players like Simon Whitlock and Adrain Lewis not on the main stage? I thought it would be definate that the World Champion would be on the main stage, obviously not, or are they going to change it like they did with the King v Hankey match last night ? I hope they do, I want to see The Wiza...

Re: J R MAIN STAGE AT BOLTON
Will Sky actually show all of the preliminary round games? There's an awful lot to get in, even with the short format. And let's be honest, most of those prelim matches won't have much interest to the large percenage of the audience. Could they maybe knock a few of those matches off before they come...
