For those going to Minehead

I phoned up Butlins to ask about check-in times etc.. and was given some guff info.. their official twitter put me right, good lad he was too. I've written it all up here; http://www.pdc-darts.co.uk/uk-open-minehead-butlins-info-friday/ with a survival guide from my and other's experiences - just so...

Re: several Pro Tour events moved to Coventry

I've got some holiday to move.. always book up for early Grand slam.

I know Modus and MDA now have a nightmare, had a BIG exhibition nearly sold out which has to move now. ouch.

Re: Butlins Minehead - Under 18's not allowed?

could be right - just seen on wiki that all 'big weekend' music events are over 18, and they are lumping darts in with that event

Re: Absolute Average When ? If Ever ?

I think Rout answered this one really well. The board (and conditions) have to have helped averages improve. Just look at golf where equipment has massively improved over x years.. courses have had to be extended to keep up with the length of shot pro's can hit. yes they take physical fitness more s...

Re: Krispy Brown

Cheers Paul - you've embarrassed me now. It's easy to give a few quid, it's people like Paul Brown who do the hard work organising the event and getting people to go along, often a thankless task. Also the players for giving their time.. and you for letting Deta beat you and keeping her happy ;-) Wa...

Tomorrow night raising some £'s

I did post in the exhibition section, but as this is for a great cause (The Heart of Darts charity - run by darts people for darts people), I thought I'd give it a final plug here.. what with all the people reading about Bunting :-) I know it's the end of the month, the month after Xmas and cash is ...

Re: PDC Fans Player of the Year

Whoever votes more than once are cheating the system somewhat and I reckon folks who do that are not the kind of friends that James Wade wants, don't you think? James Wade is a winner but who wants to win things within the rules. you cannot "cheat a system" when there is basically no prot...

Heart of Darts Charity Exhibition 24th Jan, Rileys Victoria

I'm posting this on behalf of Paul Brown, who used to run the Porters Lodge, and is a big supporter of the "Heart of Darts" charity - which is a charity run by darts people for people who need our help. I did a write-up of last year's exhibition/charity night (write-up here; http://www.pdc...

Re: Lakeside Players Meeting

are these contracts worth the paper they are written on anyway?

Any employment lawyers here? :-) I mean if my workplace told me that my salary would only be paid each month if I signed a contract to promise never to work for a competitor?

Don't mind the walk-ons ... but the dancers at the worlds make me cringe. looks like they have just made up the dances in the toilets outside 5 mins before. Never spoken to anyone who think they add anything to the spectacle.

Good post.. Duds came and met me down the 'soft tip pub' in London for the opening night - he mentioned being at hospital earlier, and a little of its nature, but take my hat off to him for coming along for a chuck with all he's going through.

Wishing you all the best mate!

Everyone makes mistakes - especially when trying to just fill silence! But, I'm not so keen on Bristow as a commentator because one thing any commentator should be is clear and easy to understand. Bristow mumbles / talks too quickly on occasion, and many people complain they can't make out half of w...

Re: Soft Tip Darts Comes To UK - Friday 15th November

Enjoyed the night.. the free drinks were the icing on the cake :-)

Good turn-out, venue was full early doors. Got to have a couple of throws, seems good fun too.

Did a write-up with pictures here; http://www.pdc-darts.co.uk/dartslive-uk ... in-london/
