Jim Proudfoot may sound a surprising choice but he does a lot of work for ESPN and is one of the best (football) commentators out there so I'd hazard a guess that that is how he got his foot in the door. Not sure if he's done darts before as I've been in Luxembourg and it's all in German on Sport 1...
