I don't think it's a ridiculous system to have at super league, stops people coming over, having one good game and winning the averages.

Chatted to and practiced with Hankey, Tony West and John Walton at the Granite City Open a couple of years ago and found them all to be a good laugh and nice guys. On the Sunday spent most of the day chatting to Ted and he was a good lad.

Essentially, it ranks people more based upon winning than playing great.
