I do wonder if the pdc will increase the amount of tour cards on offer. Add another 48 to allow for the influx. Only makes 1 more round on pro tour events.

Next year I would invite 4 players. 3 major winners plus next highest in the rankings. Then fill 4 places from a bdo/challenger tour qualifier. You then have 24 spots for pdc major winners/runner ups and a pro tour qualifier for whatever is left say 4 cards.

Strong potential of all 8 bdo boys going straight out. When was the last time they all failed to get out the group? It would be a shame to lose them all but its indicative of the bdo level now. Bar Durrant it's basically challenger tour standard as shown by the last 2 masters winners.

Maybe this will be the push duzza needs to switch.

I think they may consider taking a gamble if Glen gives them assurances of going to q-school this year though. If he wins the grand slam that is... The deal would have to be with a clause that if he pulls out of q school he loses the prem league spot. However in reality I think he will get to thelas...

I'd love to see what the pdc do if Glen durrant wins the gsod. Not saying he will but as a major winner he would have a case to be in the event.

Good question, there's clearly some room for manouver as many players are sponsored and us Winmau Darts. I guess a sticking point could be the dartboard itself as im sure Unicorn will have some exclusivity clause for televised events minimum.

In terms of the PDC's own "Masters" event. Thats easily rectified, either swap it straight out for the World Master event. Or keep that one and call it the "UK Masters"

No neccesarily, however i think it should be passed over to the WDF. Then let the WDF offer it up as a cross code event with X amount of PDC players allowed to enter it. This could give the event the boost it needs to attract sponsors/tv etc. Back to an open draw format as well and ideally best of 5...
