Re: James Wade
In the ruthless world of professional sport Colin should of done his utmost to drag it out as long as possible. The longer he kept Wade up there the more distressed he would of become to the point of where he would of finished his career there and then. With Wade gone that's one less person at the f...

Re: PDC Asia
Good luck in Thailand I must have been in several 1000 thai drinking establishments around most of the country over the passed 14 years and to date I haven't seen a dozen dart boards in total. (And I think I have seen maybe 3 soft tip machines in total around the Japanese aimed bars) But on the flip...

It was live on bbc though so how wouldn't they have the rights? As they are held by the production company. The BBC don't make the program they just show it. Certain sports etc are put out to tender for Independant production companies. http://www.bbc.co.uk/commissioning/briefs/tv/browse-by-genre/s...

Re: Record crowds at the matchplay this year? Here's the rea
To be fair once The Count has qualified for the tv end of a tournament then i would expect to see a bit of Hankeymania hyped up the Sky Media Machine. As long as a 'new' contender can always emerge every few years to challenge the dominent incumbent Top 10 then darts will all be sustainable as it is...

Re: Phil Taylor a different view
I always thought this argument was settled well and truely in 1999 on ITV over 60 minutes. Plus how many BDO players won the PDC tourrnaments they were allowed to play in after the Tomlin Agreement ? I also think Rod Harrington might take umberage at being called a spent force in the middle 90's. Jo...

Re: Adams, England and England Selection
It's a stupid question of course Martin Adams has to play for England As it's his name all the major big money sponsors want to see play And its due to his appearance that millions of TV fans at home tune in to watch the Internationals. oh .. hang on a minute :) A more interesting question I have al...

Re: County selection LOL
Unfortunately in a perfect world things such as this wouldn't be an issue and probably isn't for the top level Counties. But in the real world the lower counties are restricted by the people who can afford the cost and time to commit to playing for their respective counties. So those counties end up...

Re: TED HANKEY INTERVIEW WITH TSOD
Ted I read about your concerns of why you didn't wear the cape this year at lakeside
Will we be seeing it back for your obvious tv walk ons in the PDC ? with bats ?
and just out of interest
whom would you trust more on a gentlemans agreement , Barry Hearn or Martin Adams ?

I totally agree with you after all it will be simple as you would easily pick up all the BDO Titles on offer
After all this is why Mike Gregory won the 95 & 96 Embassy Titles easily
oh hold on a minute

Still you have to admire Gulliver's ability, a Semi-Finalist and this is Trina's worst ever run in the World Championships To be fair given the small size of the womens tournament when you have an automatic shoe in to it without the need to have qualified you only need to win 1 game (6 legs) to mak...

Re: Move The Worlds From Lakeside?
Given that it's a sell out for every session means even if all the tickets were sold at their cheapest rate ( 9 day ticket) means its generates in the region of 1/2 million in gate money. I would imagine that even at the very worst deal negotiated there was a 50 - 50 split between Bob Potter & t...
