Why do so many players refuse to entry in the pro tour event. Not the top 10 players but the rest? Why they have tour cards then if they don't compete?

Yeah in 2015 there were 14 European players, but in 2016 there are only 9 European players in as it stands now.

Grand Slam qualifying by the way is one of the worst things in the PDC tournament system right now. Players like Wayne Jones, Clayton, Boulton all played at last years' GSoD just like that two Dutch Oosterhuis and vd Horst from the BDO. This degrades the tournament big time.

Its not as if there are 4 Irish spots like in the old days, 2 is probably fine. It's still a backdoor into many events they wouldn't normally qualify for historically.
