Theres some very romantic views of how easy it is to police hundreds of people, most of whom will be pissed up (regardless of the 'rules') over a period of several days. It'll be a free for all. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a dart thrown in this event and this rule change won’t alter that.

Good for the players but I’ve always thought it was odd that a few weeks after the worlds you stick the top 16 against each other on tv in another tournament
