Re: Darts in the media
So he doesn’t do breakfast in the dining room as too many people but happy to meet up with his Dutch mates in the hotel for Christmas lunch.

Re: 2022 PDC World Darts Championships
who's the most anti-social of the pros who doesn't mix with anyone and is most likely to stay in his room - tenner on him? Isn’t that Wade. Wins this by default as all his future opponents test positive for Covid. Plus doesn’t like immigrants after his rant about the Japanese guy a few years back. ...

Re: 2022 PDC World Darts Championships
If Wade gets to final and loses and someone below him in OOM (Humphries and above) wins the whole thing then MVG is down to #5, so MVG would need wildcard for PL.Black Velvet wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 5:37 pmIf Wade gets to the final, does he go above MVG?ChrisW wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 5:35 pm Already updated for you Bomber

Re: 2022 PDC World Darts Championships
With ch4 (I think) showing the GP on Sunday I wonder if sky might do a deal with the darts at the latter stages? That’s because C4 already share F1 rights with Sky although only highlights outside the British GP live. No free channel shows highlights of PDC WC so no one going to pay Sky to show it....

Re: WDF World Championship 2022 at Lakeside
As I said earlier, I presume if there is a lockdown, the prize fund is decimated as the WDF don’t have the cash and Potter won’t fund it with no ticket or hotel revenue.

Re: WDF World Championship 2022 at Lakeside
True but they have to follow the guidelines. I don't think give the cash to darts players is in there. (c) Refund policies (including “no refund” policies) must provide for a refund or other accommodation through which the Organiser will “make good” on its obligations to Consumers for failure to pr...

Re: WDF World Championship 2022 at Lakeside
No promoter or event would consider keeping the money if Covid means no audience surely. Only way out is to put themselves into administration and prove to the receiver not the cash to refund. Wouldn’t work for Lakeside as they would just seize the site and sell it off for millions. Housing on a si...

Re: WDF World Championship 2022 at Lakeside
If crowds banned then I guess this will be cancelled? TV deal in place and no refunds apparently, so I reckon it will happen regardless How to ensure only an idiot would now buy a ticket for this. There is now a very big risk of full lockdown after Christmas so no audience allowed in. It’s not as i...

Re: Q School 2022
Surprised (very) there is no provision for Lakeside finalists (or semi finalists) to skip the first stage. Why would they do that? To show a bit of willing, I suppose. Plus they wouldnt admit it but I am sure they would want the Lakeside winner to have a crack and win a card straight off the bat. T...

Why ?oche balboa wrote:Champions League wont comeback at least on the BBC, BBC arent going to show PDC Darts
Are they now black listed by PDC as they bought rights to Seniors WC ? a rival organising body. In the same way all TV channels showing PDC can’t show WDF.

Re: PDC chairman Hearn announces record prize money for 2022
There is definitely the World Series events around the world not just the finals. Haven’t they committed to the ones in Australia x 2, NZ and US whilst Denmark and Germany may come back. Also the Champions League, the invitational for the BBC, may come back, which was binned last couple of years giv...

Re: PDC chairman Hearn announces record prize money for 2022
Although darts rates well with the Sky Sports audience it’s not a subscription driver as most of those watching darts are already paying to watch the football. Darts being an added bonus. Very few subscribe just for the darts. This is why Sky pay much more for F1, cricket and golf rights as all brin...

Re: 2022 PDC World Darts Championships
Unless he is already in the country, or fancies spending 10 days in another country first, its safe to say Charles Losper wont be taking the South African spot up. Those 10 days also need to be outside Europe not just U.K. Well yes, his options are started to get limited there. Apparently the bloke...

Crackpot still a fat, dumb and whingeing mess I see. Not seen today as travelling but saw Lewis play yesterday and he still looked a sweaty mess even though he does appear to have lost a bit of weight. Definitely the fat player who can’t handle the heat of the TV lights with sweat always dripping o...

Re: WDF World Championship 2022 at Lakeside
The Grand Prix has struggled to sell out for years. Assume they stayed in Dublin as got a bung from venue of local promoter. However, this year in Leicester didn’t sell better. World Cup also seems a hard sell with that moving venue every few years somewhere else in Europe. Do though agree the WDF W...
