I think short BICC matches make it more likely that you will see extremely high or low averages in a match, but over a year things are likely to balance out. Anyway, BICC matches are only a small proportion of legs played for those BDO players on the list

I agree that the averages have less relevance when based on a handful of matches or not many legs, as is the case with Sedlacek and a few of the others. The averages are based on match averages weighted by the number of legs, rather than total number of points divided by total darts thrown.
