I can't see Fanatics liking McGeeney's comment that his whole year was geared to getting a tour card....I thought his whole year would have been geared to winning Lakeside ☺....a tour card is more important then !

It not as big a mine field as Durrant is making it out to be for a player as good as himself.....anybody can get a bad draw and a defeat with a bad draw is acceptable but the players Durrant has lost to a player of his standard should never have lost to..he would never have lost to those players on ...

I said there were not 18 players better than Hughes in that field ! ☺

I think that considering the amount of players that seriously try to qualify then 12K is a pretty good first prize...it can never be compared to the mens prize fund in darts simply because of the number of players involved and the overall interest from fans and media ..a stand alone women's champion...

On the face of it the ladies prize fund does need raising...but the fact is there are so few players playing the circuit that supply and demand means it should be way lower than the men's...and a far bigger issue for me would be looking to raise the prize find of the early round of the men's event.....
