Re: Soft Tip Darts Comes To UK - Friday 15th November
I hope to get some pictures and do a bit of a write-up - although I can hardly hit the board with steel tip darts..

Re: Soft Tip Darts Comes To UK - Friday 15th November
cheers Duds. I was going to post it here - but finding my spare time missing since I got a job in London and having to commute. There's also a possibility that Mr Bunting will be there on the 15th now - maybe another player or two. Free grub n beer also isn't a bad draw! :-) The Dartslive machines w...

Re: World Grand Prix: Semi-Finals Discussion (Sat)
They said that maybe Pipe's slow pace may actually hinder pipe. But then they said he throws quicker in practice ! Therefore Pipe throws at a slower pace, deliberately. I am not saying this is done to hinder the other player or is gamesmanship but could it be? He may do it because he plays better a...

If Chizzy plays his TV best, I think JP will struggle.. but Chizzy a real hot n cold player. I'll support Chizzy in the final if he wins, a good lad, who's a good laugh off the oche (as my liver knows well).
Can't see past Taylor though now.

Agree there compleletely.. as you say with Pipe not being a bottler or in Taylor's pocket he'd likely win.GRAYISALEGEND wrote:Needs to be a Taylor v Chisnall final - Cant see many people watching if Taylor v Pipe as would be a boring slow match and inevitable end result

Re: World Grand Prix: Quarter-Finals Discussion (Fri)
Looking forward to tonight, after missing last night (although spending the day at the Nottingham beer festival made up for it!). I hear Mr Pipe played really well against Lewis.. I hope he can keep that up against The Hammer. I agree that's a game for the respective player fans and the 'purist' - a...

Re: Attitudes towards professional players in local leagues
Just sounds like sour grapes to me. pub leagues shouldn't care where you play your darts. ours isn't run by the BDO - just local clubs running things themselves. If you ban PDC players, do you ban county BDO players too.. then anyone who's played in a BDO ranking event.. or anyone who wins to many g...

Looking at the BDO events facebook page.. 5 likes???? Not doing their job yet, especially with the mission statement of; "BDO Events is the New Commercial arm of the BDO British Darts Organisation. Our mission is to Bring the BDO back to where it belongs and the Players to the forefront of the ...

Re: PDC 2014 Calendar
Glad to see my June 'predictions' showed right on the money re: UK Open. Also they may not need so many hours if the format does change as I suggested, no amateur qualifiers? I know it doesn't say that.. but it doesn't mention them either.

2 Comps for Exhibition tickets
I've got two competitions on the go to give away tickets to a couple of September exhibitions: The Waites n Jabba one at the Cleveland Arms in Wolverhampton. The exhibitions at this pub are great for those of you who enjoy my old school exhibitions - relatively small venue, no 'VIP', players mixing ...

Re: As head of the BDO
I'd also want to get a handle on 'the assets'.. not physical/monetry (although that helps), but who and who does the BDO actually represent, what is it responsible for? Like the FA, I thought the BDO should take a direct hand in overseeing the game down through all the grass roots levels. Get a prop...

Re: New Press Officer Interim BDO
Looks like a good move to me - the bloke has been writing for both the BBC and a footy history website. There's a local lad to me who's written a few bits on my site and now is working for a new decent football magazine. Young-uns understand the social media side, and to be fair are cheaper while th...

Re: Taylor v Winstanley game
Just a guess but here goes . . . maybe Phil is allowed 5 patches as long as 1 is Sky Sports who have a patch on the World Champ for 12 months. I guess it could be. I was just asking the question :-) I'm not knocking Phil or his team - just old fashioned and want level playing field for everyone. Al...

Re: Taylor v Winstanley game
but he hardly needs the extra £'s. It's no conspiracy - he does have an extra patch on his shirt, against the rules. It's there - visible to all. Fair enough if you believe the top player is allowed to break the rules just because. Be very careful!!!!! ;) He might ban you from all PDC darts ....bec...

Re: Taylor v Winstanley game
I seem to notice that Phil also gets to have an extra 5th patch on the front of his shirt against the rules of the PDC. Is there an explanation for that, as it's enforced very strongly enforced on all other players? When anyone else has the major drawing power to put bums on seats and the number of...
