Re: Bravo v Sky Sports

ITV4 has the best coverage in my humble opinion. ITV4 coverage is great...all the best bits that Bravo had...commentators and pundits but with a better presenter in Matt Smith and excellent features on players as well..i hope they continue to cover darts becuase with them and Sky and Bravo then the...

Re: Australia - what players are foing ?

so a few will be making the trip then maybe...

talking of DPA and DFA then Rob Modra is currently top of the race to represent the DFA in the World Masters and Lakeside qualifiers and is also top of the DPA rankings as well for Ally Pally so he could well upset somebody down the line :D

Re: Australia - what players are foing ?

it's a long way that's for sure...it might be worth it like you say if it it pushes you into the WGP or especially Ally Pally or if you treat is a holiday to visit friends or relatives with darts thrown in....but 1 ranking event isn't much, though it would be unfair on the majority of PDPA members w...

Re: Bravo v Sky Sports

As a total production Sky is far superior and looks the most professional by far.....but i was very surprised and impressed by Bravo which was far superior than the BBC The commentary was very good..Dave Gorman was ok but he's never been my favourite and i think Colin Murray is the best darts presen...

Re: so called 'floor' players proving there worth

i thought we had seen the last of Wayne Jones about 3 years ago when he lost 3-0 to Tony Eccles at the Worlds and slipped out of the top 32...he wasn't playing well at all ....to achieve what he has done on the floor and now on TV is incredible and many players will use him as an inspiration i think...

Re: Jenkins V Harrington

to those who say that Harrington has no right to give his opinion then i ask...what is the point of having a pundit at all then ?...if you are a pundit then you have every right to give an opinion...whether that opinion is disagreed with by 99% is irrelevant....it is his opinion as a pundit so he ha...

Re: Jenkins V Harrington

Harrington was a great player and those who say otherwise cannot have seen him play....he was a good player pre and post split amd his knee trouble was a major reason for his slide... He is paid to be pundit and said what he thought....his mistake was to put it across like he was Terry Jenkins boss ...

Re: who so we miss on TV the most?

Richie Burnett was on the main stage on TV at the UK Open...Manley and Mardle were at Ally Pally so they haven't been exactly off our screens for long :D my fave was Jocky Wilson...his clashes with Bristow, Lowe and Whitcombe at the Embassy were classics and that is what i miss....out of ones that p...

Re: Suggestion for the women's game on TV

However if we are being honest i think the event set women's darts back a long way...this is where players like Trina have let women's darts down by not entering this...forget politics but this was a chance to get top standard womens darts on TV and a top quality final night have made a statement a...

Re: Suggestion for the women's game on TV

Re: BDO British Classic underway

exactly...it's expensive for a player to travel anyway but you would try and pick a schedule based on points offered only to find this completely changes when you get there and the goalposts are moved....how hard is that for a player to take The BDO needs new events for its players but also needs to...

Re: BDO British Classic underway

on form is Montgomery at present.....however it is a crazy situation when the BDO advertise Lakeside points and then completely change it when players are already there meaning no points for a last 32 place at the last minute....this is becoming a regular thing and makes the events a bit of a farce ...

i agree....the OOM has made these events even more competitive than ever and the wins they have had over the seeds are not shocks at all as form in the tour events over the year show

Top 16 - resting on their laurels ?

Just a thought.... The players outside the top 16 seem to doing better than the top 16 this year on tour - out of the 21 Pro Tour events 13 have been won by players outside the top 16 , if you include Whitlock who was outside when winning tour events Whitlock, Anderson, V D Voort, Ovens, Bates , New...

Re: TV Changes

Nothing to do with snooker...contracts are in place for BBC snooker ....Barry Hearn has long been concerned that the quality of Lakeside is going down each year yet this is still the event that most people see and therefore see Lakeside as the state of darts today....he feels this harms the PDC prod...

Re: TV Changes

as long as Sky keep the main events that they want to show then increased exposure on the Beeb can only help promote PDC darts which can only help Sky's viewing figures...if the PDC tried to take an event off them to put on the BBC then i can understand them not being happy....remember Sky have been...

Re: Race for 2011 Premier League

i don't agree with the top 8 automatically getting in as this automatically rules out players who have only done less than a year on the circuit so cannot be top 8 but are massive drawcards...such as Barney was or Whitlock was and somebody like Anderson would be....the top 8 get rewarded for their p...

Re: TV Major without Part, Manley, Mardle

you can still get to Ally Pally with a fairly low Players OOM figure if you think the top 32 in the main OOM get in automatically and then 15 more from the Players OOM so that's a good few players....so there is still chance....plus when you take all those out of the PDPA qualifier that field wont b...
