Saw some ticket company advertising VIP PL tickets for sale saying come and see Barney's farewell....either they know something or they will have some angry customers !

I have serious doubts that Barney would have got a PL spot this time if he didn't at least make the semis at Ally Pally...I think this was one year too far...but with his farewell of course Sky will want him...the programmes will be built around his farewell..

Barney is a legend of darts..he was a legend in the BDO..his departure started the massive slide there..his arrival in the PDC started the rise of the PL from 800 capacity halls to 8000 capacity arenas ..his contribution to both sides and the effect his switch had to both sides cannot be over estima...

Price celebrated like many players before...it wasn't his fault he turned round immediately and Anderson was there at the oche...Price is OTT and a bit unlikeable but you cannot be stood on the oche that quickly and then be in someone's face as they turn round...Anderson was out of order..end of..

These first to 16 long matches can get a bit dull for me unless it's really close...too many of them it becomes obvious early on who's going to win and it's hard to come back ..that's why I love the longer matches over sets as a viewer
