Re: Lakeside 2016 Qualifiers

I find that figure hard to believe, but the Australians say that it costs AU$25,000pa per athlete to test. It does seem a little high. I worked for a company that drug tested six people at random one day, and I can't imagine they'd have paid that much, though it wouldn't have been to the levels of ...

Re: PDC masters is it even needed

If a TV company wanted to show a "Challenge Tour Finals" it'd already be on. TV wants tournaments with the "stars" and they're much easier to sell to the public than people no-one has heard of. That's the argument you see made about BDO tournaments being televised, that they don'...

Re: Lakeside 2016 Qualifiers

You cant go round demanding players take drug tests before you play them, make you look a prick. He should take the defeat and move on. I get the impression the fella was actually caught taking something, could be wrong though. If it's a drug issue his drug test shoul show it up. The WDF are keen t...

Re: Richie Burnett 18 month ban

What is so frustrating about the ban is That he has thrown away a career he had rebuilt from virtually scratch to a healthy living and he decided that a night on "marching powder" was a better alternative to a quite lucrative career. Sad as a Welshman to see somebody with a great ability ...

Re: Winmau World Masters 9-11 Oct, 2015 Hull

'proper' fans follow the bdo i'm told. Were are they? Watching both codes: difference is astounding. Wake up and promote bdo! Asking for streams on BDOF? Because it's done on the cheap by a cheap company...they just haven't got the budget and it shows...it's nothing to do with Eurosport..the sound ...

Re: 2015 World Grand Prix Discussion

Betfred won't bother disciplining anyone, why would they? Yes the line wasn't funny, but all bookies send tweets out like that these days. If you're a professional, and you don't want to read or see any criticism, stay away from social media. It wasn't that funny but was it that upsetting for a pla...

Re: BDO: Grand Slam of darts Qualifiers Update

There seems to be more excuses NOT to enter than there are to. Extra day in Hull, have to cancel plans if qualify and already booked in at Jersey, "professional dart players" who can't get a day off work. But I guess that depends on what your definition of a professional is really.

Re: BDO: Grand Slam of darts Qualifiers Update

I don't think the GSOD will be any worse off for a lack of "The Boss" to be honest. Maybe those tweets from Tommy Cox around Lakeside really did cut deep.

Re: You favourite all time Darts Matches

It is "favourite" rather than "greatest" though. Everything is subjective anyway. (Personally, I think the Adams/Nixon one is over rated based on one player almost bottling a massive lead over anything else, but that's just my opinion and possibly wrong!) Can't argue much with th...

Re: You favourite all time Darts Matches

That Taylor/Lewis GSOD semi is probably my favourite. The standard was just ridiculous.

Jenkins vs. Taylor from the 2nd round of Matchplay was another cracker from a couple of years back.

Don't know who started this campaign but not been done with Deta's knowledge or backing .
She doesn't come across as someone with the ego to do such a thing!

Sky don't seem to like 30 minute programmes, but, then again, all game shows seem to be dragged out to an hour these days.
