Re: 2019 Q-School
Well done Darius, got there in the end! Michael, de Sousa and Kuivenhoven in those nervous 5th, 6th and 7th spots, van der Meer I guess has a card wrapped up, Rasztovits almost certainly not

Re: 2019 Q-School
Admittedly, Labanauskas is probably the best player in the field on paper, and is far from certain of winning his card

Re: 2019 Q-School
Q School gets many of us fairly excited, but I have to say, like qualification for WSOD finals, GSOD and even the World Champs, it can come down to having a good run on the day, rather than the best players making it. The OOM does something to help level things out, but personally, I would like to ...

Re: The 2019 Season
Indeed - there's a match on Youtube where Tony Green actually congratulates John Part during commentary on winning the 2003 Worlds. There's also a couple of matches where Phil Taylor is co-commentator - he wasn't too bad at it either. Interesting, I always watched the PDC Worlds over the Lakeside, ...

Re: 2019 Q-School
The problem is with overseas players is that will they do all events All 10 players from the euro q-school played at least some of the tour. The worst Euro player still beat 6 players from the uk q-school. In terms of quality 3 from 10 euro qualifiers now reside in the world top 64. 7 two year hold...

Who was it that said the better Euro talent was at this Q-School and not Lakeside?? there are 3 lakeside quarter finalists I believe at euro q -school A former lakeside finalist in smith a double bdo youth world champion. amazing how people like you promoted these players in the past now disregard ...

Re: 2019 Q-School
Have to say, with the Darts Connect statistics we have this year, you could build a strong case against the current Q-School system. With the open draw some of the ebst players are drawn early against each other, with loser collecting few or even no points at all. Some of the lesser guys receive an...

Re: 2019 Q-School
Oche said on Twitter that there is over 800 entries for UK Q-School already going to be some long days How does he know that? If it is true the PDC need to quickly look at the feeder tours. The increased field of the euro q-school would lead to a euro only challenge tour and the uk side of things c...

Re: 2019 Q-School
Is it a case then at the Euro one that they have the quantity but not the quality with no Lakeside players. Wonder if when it comes down to it if most of the UK ones will change their mind and stay as well. The quality is certainly there, plenty of players who played at Ally Pally this year and/or ...

Re: PDC Order of Merit
How much of that 124k has Jamie Lewis won in the past two editions of the world championship?? I’m guessing the vast majority hence why a tv ranking list would be daft... £120k, £85k last year, £35 this year. Apart from that he has a measly £2,500 from the Players Championship Finals and £1,750 fro...

Re: 2019 Q-School
Johan Artut is back then after a long break. Also I thought Labsnauskas already had a card via Baltic? The PDCNB Order of Merit doesn't give any tour cards, "only" World Championship spots (top 2) and paid entry to Q School (top 5). That's awfully harsh! Kim Viljanen didn't play much on t...

Re: PDC UK Open - March 1st-3rd 2019 - Butlins Minehead
How will they do the UK open now then top 32 OOM don’t enter till last 64? I think ranked 96 to 128 and challeng tour and qualifiers round 1 round 2 65 to 95 ranked and 32 winners top 32 start in round 3 Well, it would be 97-128 in R1 and 65-96 in R2, but that makes sense. It could have been sticky...

Re: The 2019 Season
For the Slam they could easily reduce to 4 from BDO and 4 from Tour Card qualifier. Would give them an extra 8 places for winners on the tour. Last year would could have given out a lot of those to winners. Any unclaimed just add to the number available at qualifier. Doing this should take out some...

Re: The 2019 Season
One big downside from Jacklins change in rules to allow BDO players at QC is if lots go and dont get cards. Then assuming the best like Durrant and Waites have gone all the BDO has is a bunch of players who have shown they arent good enough to get into the PDC. Not great when he wants to attract ne...

Entry list for European Q school is on darts Connect, 249 entries. https://tv.dartconnect.com/eventconfirmation/pdceuqs19 Cody Harris and Jeff Smith opting for this q school. Co Stompe giving it a go. Can’t see any players who are at Lakeside this year, although a few from last year are. That will ...
