Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)

If I've read it right, the challenger mad enough to cough up anything up to 5 grand for a shot at one of these titles only gets a fraction of it back, even if they beat the current champion? Don’t think the challenger gets anything back. Get the impression the 30% goes to Mad. Obviously they get to...

Re: MAD Darts- THE DAWN (12th December)

I think some people are missing the key part though. This whole project was not about an online comp for belts. It is about grass root darts. Because that can't take place at the moment they wanted to launch to put this belt thing in place. The MAD concept is all about darts leagues. But didn’t bag...

The Asians. When was it that Hearn said we would have an Asian world Champion. A few more players emerging but no one who can prove it on the main tour yet

Sounds like MAD don’t know what they are. Following in BDO events footsteps of producing random fanciful maps. Clearly nothing in place

Re: BDO Delegates Meeting, 19/04/2020

Tbh, this is where Des should have started when he first got on the board. Looking at the very essence of the BDO. Instead he got caught up with BDOE and it’s gone bust. What they talk about seems good. Still don’t get why they can’t look at the structure of the BICC. While it is all but known this ...

Re: Modern Amatuer Darts.

Interesting happening going on, this being launched on the back of Tri Nations, UKDA, WDF and the BDO still trying to battle on. This would be the only one being led by someone who has led a successful dart organisation? Will eventually get the PDC backing if they haven’t already behind the scenes. ...

Re: BDO Accounts y/e 31st May 2019 - now available

Ok so if I am reading it all right.... - they owe £50k to unspecified parties - they owe 6 figures to Sportotal - they lost £5k on the last Gold Cup after the previous one made a profit - they lost £3k on the youth event - they lost £100k on the Blackburn WDT - the Masters has lost £180k the last t...

Re: Big meeting on Sunday

Right ok. Two questions: - Why on earth are Dave Allen, Matt Porter and Ed Lowy in that list above? - Can this organisation simply just take over the events the BDO run like the Gold Cup? Surely it isnt that simple. PDC possibly talking to WDF and whatever this. If they can financially support them...

And as for me “rigging the draw so my Mrs gets a an easier game, first of all that’s pretty disrespectful to the other player that has had to win an International event out right or get so high up an a rankings system that gives her automatic qualification? Paula’s first game at the World Masters 2...

Re: Des Jacklin resigns

With the board going and the current climate we are living in where does the BDO go from here. We know the WDT has no venue. The home countries have created a company to run the BICC. The BDO doesn’t have the backing of the WDF, the Dutch or the Aussies. They can’t have meetings to vote anyone into ...

None of the Aussie events have points. Mentioned this a while back as they weren't in BDO calender at start of year.
