Finally Simon plays someone who misses, got the bit of luck in leg 3 and from there on in, was back to his old self. Trouble is he has Peter Wright next and finds himself in the toughest group with the world number 4, 6, 11 and Michael Smith who is in excellent form this year.

He can't get a decent draw at the moment, cannot meet an opponent throwing below-par and isn't hitting the 180s he was between April and September.

Poor Simon, needs to play a below-par opponent to get some confidence back to be honest.

Watched the final again earlier and for me it just got weirder and weirder the second time round. King's questioning of George Noble and whether he is going to do his job was out of order. This showed King was getting angered by the crowd as was his over-aggressive celebrations aimed at the audience...

I have no problems with the celebration by the way - he has won the tournament after all. Would have been better to see him be happier rather than seem angry then though.
