With the other half being used to give equal prize money to the women, I assume.

Re: Lakeside dates and BDO 2019 calendar

So that's why half the people that came back from Wigan Challenge Tour saying it would be a £1000 to enter Q-School ,so it's a bunch of whiney Lancashire officials trying to spread stuff again. He talks about the need for change once again but then thinks they would run a 4 challenge tours on a wee...

Astounding levels of entitlement in that post, especially the casual assumption that an independently-run forum should be part of "our side of darts".

Re: BDO Youth Festival of Darts 2018

Amazing how upset people get at the name of a weekend festival for teenagers and people under 26 - people will be frothing at the mouth over the use of the word 'Professional' in the name of a tournament next  My trolling is done, night all! Frothing at the mouth? I guess it's nice that...

By the way, my favourite for the men's 18-25 tournament is Adam Howard, if only because he's in the field twice.

Re: BDO Youth Festival of Darts 2018

Maybe something to do with the fact that it's a festival that includes many different events, many of which can be described as youth competitions. The blurb on the BDO describes each individual event, not once does it describe one of them as a 'Youth' event. It's an umbrella term that is the easie...

Re: Des Jacklin new chairman of England?

The BDO/WDF will never, ever move to a money based system as it will just highlight the comparative pittance of money available in the system. It would also mean that the BDO or WDF will need to start dictating how prize money can be distributed. Or does anybody think that prize money schedules suc...

Re: RE: Re: Des Jacklin new chairman of England?

The BDO is at a key stage in it's evolution at the moment, they have all but lost big money sponsors and big TV contracts but Lakeside is still the jewel in the crown of the darting world. The PDC have moved into the sub tour markets with the challenge tour, into the youth market with the developme...

Re: WHat is Lisa Ashton on about?

Hearing that there at credible rumours that the pdc are looking at trying again with ladies darts (not just the wc slots). I hope so as I'm sure it would be easy to bolt on a tour on Pro Tour Weekends. With fields of 128 they are quite managable weekends and there is scope to stick on two extra eve...

Team Winmau’s Scott Mitchell is fourth. In the BDO women’s rankings, Deta Hedman is just ahead of de...

Why leave it at a handful of wildcards? Tell the last few remaining decent players under 40 to go to the PDC and officially turn the BDO into a senior darts circuit. Everybody wins.

Re: You can attack the BDO but England is off limits!

Does he really not understand that the competition in the marketplace isn't PDC vs BDO vs EDO vs etc. now, but rather darts vs all other non-global sports? TT is obsessed with providing an "alternative", but alternatives are only needed when the market leader isn't up to the task of progre...

Yes it was and I agree that was nonsense. Still work in progress but definitely useful in identifying where the bookies might have underpriced certain matches. That depends on the tournament format. Might be reasonably useful for something like the Matchplay where it's long games and only between p...
