Re: Why are the English/Welsh/Scottish/Irish so dominate...

yes The Cannibal aka Eddy Merckx arguably the greatest competitor, sportsmen, athlete to ever live imho. Cycling as a sport is fringe in the USA. Of course millions ride a bike in recreation but that doesn't mean they know or have fitness to ride on a competitive level or even have attempted to race...

Re: Why are the English/Welsh/Scottish/Irish so dominate...

You make some very valid points LG, OTOH other sports that Americans have had success with that are not part of the big 4 (i.e. american football, baseball, basketball, hockey) have faced the same obstacles as the 2 you pointed out. Cycling is just one of many e.g. but it is the one I know the best....

Re: World Cricket Championship

Excellent questions concerning the PL, and King's response about his attitude towards the event/darts and fans w...

Re: Mervyn King Fanclub

Huge, massive, King Fan. Always got the impression he worked hard on his game, always seems fierce and focused in the TV events. Was excited when he came over from BDO as I thought he would have the work ethic to compete against the best in the PDC and hoped he would be one of those who would give T...
