The thing is the BDO can just keep doing what it has been doing and they are going to be automatically relegated to the caretakers of the amateur side of the game, which lets be honest they already are. The problem is in the long run the money isn't there for catering to the "pro" BDO play...

I would think that the q school fee now high enough to ward off crap players from going on the lark. Yet low enough for proven players that make it enticing enough for a backer or a sponsor to put up the money as they aren't going to pony up entry fees all year.

Surely he is not saying the increase in q school fees covers the loss of pro tour entry fees, or is he?
