National Geographic Channel I heard, part of their endangered species series, Mr Attenborough will introduce it and tell us that if something isn't done soon BDO TV events will be extinct in the next few years.

Lets face it, outside these geeky forums and FB Fanatics basically no one is going to know its going on. ANd if the FB and forum geeks can only get 200 people between them to buy actual real tickets for it then these events are fucked without proper marketing, something that as we know is clearly well beyond the board. It just amazes me that they actually think they are themselves doing a decent job

They sold no tickets at all yesterday for an event 4 days out, last year they were selling a decent(ish) number towards the end. Not here. So what has changed?

its being held in a stupid location at a stupid venue . It's not on TV, no one outside our groups know its actually on. It has no history, no meaning and simply has no appeal to people to actually put their hands in their pockets and pay for.
