I need to take up gambling if the bookies are that bad.
Have quoted the odds on all the players in my post above. So enlighten us, if you did take up gambling who would you bet on at the odds given.
Well Wright is easily the second best player in the world despite his equipment experimentation, i'd also put Gurney and Smith ahead of Cross who has done nothing this year you'd expect from a Champion, even one that was lucky to win.

In fact looking at the players left i'd have him around 6th favourite.
I do of course understand that it's all on the day and he could well win this but going on ability and form that is my position.

For me Smith is the best value at 8/1, and Wright is 7/2 because he still has to get through to the last 16, but I still think Cross will win this, hence why I have bet on him.

So, if you were a gambler who would you bet to win the event, at the given odds.

Great match between Wade and Wright.

Both players were fantastic and could have went either way. :DDDD:

In fairness to Im he has consistently articulated he is not a gambler. This is why he did not factor in that Snakebite was not the favourite to win the event because he still had to negotiate his last 32 match, which was against the 7th favourite to win the tournament.

Cross was 11/4 favourite because of this, hence the value of betting on him, and will probably be as low as 2/1 at the end of tonight, or lower should Mensur go out.

I genuinely don't understand odds, actually something i'm proud of, despite Whinge trying to take the piss.

Thats where my money is going this weekend.

Because Wright has been eliminated, Cross has went from 11/4 favourite to 7/4 favourite without throwing another dart. Just means that the £50 I put on him will return winnings of £137.50 compared with £87.50 should I put the same bet on now.

That being said, he needs to win the event first.

Just in from work and caught the Smith vs Cullen match from 0-2.

Thought Cullen handled himself pretty well and a convincing victory.

Only Suljovic of those left has won an ET event, so every chance of a second consecutive 1st time winner.

Amazing really that the current World Champion has never won an ET event.
