Some good runs yesterday from less well known players. Wonder how Alan Derret, Colin Fowler, Ricky Sudale and Dave Weston will fair today.

Wll be interesting for sure, sometimes after a good day it's not been unheard of for players to over celebrate :)

The beauty of open draws and best of all - no free money to seeds

Wonder will Steve West show the emergence of form he showed yesterday.. In an open draw 88 averages seem to get you anywhere.

Last year less than half of the Saturday prize money winners also reached the last 64 on Sunday. Probably going to be even fewer this year, what with some 50 more players in the draw.

Want to see West v West, it will happen sooner or later, probably both will lose their first matches... Easy win for Ted vs Smith :DDD:

I think it's fair to say that this weekend's draws have really shown the merits of a completely open draw - there's one or two early matches there that would definitely grace the last 8 at least.

Steve Beaton took out 170 in last leg to beat John Bowles 6-5, quality game that one.
