This is going to be simply fabulous. After what will be a long day tomorrow I am elated to have such entertainment to set down and watch.

Hopping all of my dream team do Chizzyesque. Taylor will probably lose too.

Is there a reason or logic to the size of the payouts for the UK open? I don't understand why the payouts are so small relative to other "majors". It seems to me given the tournament structure random draw it has to be one of the most important event for those not in the top 16 of PDC OOM. It gives a good opportunity early in the year to get quality position in ranking the PT OOM.

The draw is in the opening post. Anybody not listed starts tomorrow (or never qualified to begin with).

Hopefully we will get to see the draws after close of play. There was at least one night last year where transmission ceased prior to the draw. That's all part of the beauty of the competition IMO.

You were tragically fooled by my thread title given it was started the day before.

Rookie error. :barney

I see Andy Murray's playing tonight. Is he allowed to toss his darts in the air and smash them in with his racket ?

He has spent all week on his doubles his scoring has been immense , let down a little at the weekend by his finishing but he is finally coming to terms with his diabetes and controlling his blood sugar levels , think Robbie might cause a surprise here......... not fact just my opinion :)

over the short format kong may well beat wade , how many darts players "are coming to terms with their diabetes" they always seem to be coming to terms with it when they are playing well and it's the biggest problem in the world when they are not , a lot less alchohol and more fruit and veg may help them come to terms with it a lot quicker ..... just saying like

Big chance for Kong tonight: 1st on the tele and a big scalp to be taken. Now if he wins, I see he (and wade of course) are then down to play on board 3. Should be busy around that board. I wonder how some of the players react to having their 1st match on the stage then moving to the other boards (it's not even on board 2 which is has a bigger stage and viewing capacity): does that 'step down' have any impact on them?

Got my players to follow tonight (unob, Owl, bag carrier, Ted etc) but I have got to say, one thing I do love about watching darts (especially live) is that it is such FUN! going to football has that tribal element, pressure of needing the win, anger if your team plays rubbish and yes the joy of victory but darts (for me anyway) carries a different spirit.

Looking forward to having an enjoyable night. See if you can spot me on tv tonight: i'll be the guy booing mr owen if he makes a mistake marking :) (if he's there of course! Otherwise i'll have to see if spaceman will sign my Fordham book: he's mentioned in it you know. :) Twice)

Neither Mr. Owen nor myself will be there devosteve. :)

Unless I've sorted tickets for David tonight.

Gutted. I have (honestly) a 'Sid James' T shirt. Wanted to know from David if I should find him funny or not!!!

Thanks for your support :D I'm not marking this year (sadly) but I am there on the Sunday afternoon as a spectator!
Booing Chissy if he makes any mistakes (currently 4/11 with Ladbrokes on 3+ errors :DDD: )
