PartyPoker.net European Championship Prediction Competition
Similar to the UK Open competition the idea is to pick a dream team from various groups.
There will be also some bonus questions to pick up some extra points. This will mean only one
entry required per participant.
Prizes
The winner and the runner-up in the overall standings, as well as the poster of a randomly chosen entry will each win a set of darts of their choosing from the Unicorn catalogue (click here)
In addition, the entrant that scores best on the bonus questions only will win a Unicorn Eclipse Pro dartboard - the true choice of the professional
As an extra incentive this year we are offering tickets for the Dutch Darts Masters in October 25-27 - We have 2 sets of 2 tickets for the Friday and Saturday sessions. Value 104- Euros. Part of your entry will be to specify if you are interested in the tickets. As done by a random draw, we don't want to give it to people who can't attend. I will draw some reserves for this so if it turns out at a later date you can't take up the tickets we can arrange transfer to next person(s). Tickets will be collected at the venue. (Eindhoven).

Format
First Round Best of 11 legs
Second Round Best of 19 legs
Quarter-Finals Best of 19 legs
Semi-Finals Best of 21 legs
Final Best of 21 legs
Scoring
Players losing a match - 1 point per leg won
Players winning a match - 1 point per leg won, plus the leg difference of the match converted to points
Example: In a 6-4 match the winner will score 6+2 = 8 points and the loser 4 points, in a 6-3 match the winner will score 9 points and the loser 3, etc.
All matches will count.
Bonus Questions
In addition to your group selections, please answer the following 5 bonus questions (maximum 25 points available):
Bonus Question 1: How far will Phil Taylor go? 1st Round, 2nd Round, Quarters, Semis, Losing Finalist, Winner? 5 pts
Question 2: How many of the European OOM entries & Jani Haavisto (Group 3) will reach the 2nd round? 5 pts
Question 3: How far will Peter Wright progress? 1st Round, 2nd Round, Quarters, Semis, Losing Finalist, Winner? 5 pts
Question 4: How many of the Top 8 seeds will be knocked out in Rounds 1 and 2? 5 pts
Question 5: Highest average in the First round will be from which player? 5 pts
In addition, your entry needs to include a set of darts of your choosing from the Unicorn catalogue - (click here). Entries without this information will be ignored!

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES - Start of play on Thursday, July 4

i) In the event of a tie on points after all points calculated. The highest prediction points from the selected players will decide the winner. If this is the same the better bonus points will decide the winner.
ii) The sets of darts will be awarded first (including the one awarded by random draw); players having won one cannot also win the Eclipse Pro and their scores will be disregarded for determining the winner of the dartboard.
iii) Walkover matches will be scored as a 6-0 (or equivalent in later rounds) for the winning and losing players.
iv) An effort will be made to notify users of incorrect entries; for entries not corrected by the user by the deadline, an attempt will be made to correct them as follows:
- Groups with too many players will have names removed, starting with the last name listed.
- Groups with too few players will be left short-handed.
- Players that are not part of the group for which they are selected will be removed.
- Bonus questions with invalid answers will be considered not answered.
- Entries without a Unicorn dart code and weight as published in the Unicorn catalogue will be disregarded.
The decisions of myself and the site moderators are final. I myself am not eligible for any prize.
All entries made by duplicate accounts will be disregarded.
