Could be, but the payment the players get for getting into round 3 for example makes a huge difference. It's 'only' (spoken with all due respect) winning two matches.

Four or five matches really, I don't think it's appropriate to ignore the qualifying rounds in a comparison to a regular PC event.

I do have to say, if the PDC is willing to run a European Tour event in front of so few people in Gibraltar, they might as well try having one in Belgium, Denmark, etc. that normally aren't considered to have enough of a population base. It could hardly be less of a success, and the upside is that it might do surprisingly well.

i agree with you there with 2 top players for Belgium i would get rid of this event and replace it with one in there
