Well done Phil Taylor. Superb play.

I do fear for Lewis though, how will he recover from this?

Both players hit more triples than singles

PT 182/343 = 53,1 %
AD 176/350 = 50,3 %

An excellent match. Taylor has now won 14 out of 20 World Matchplay titles, and 12 out of 14 in the 21st century. Amazing.

I expected one way traffic but pleased Adie got stuck in and helped make the final, but 111 average must be the best Taylor has played over a long format for a while?

I do not think that he really ever believed that he is better than Taylor.
So to know that he is (at the moment) the 2nd best (beating MvG several times recently, 2 finals, usually averaging 100+) and that he is still able to win a major should give him some confidence...

That match was really great and the 180 hitting from Adrian was unreal, could not have been better if it was MvG instead of Lewis i think.

Couldn't watch it :(
Was driving home from a week in the Outer Banks, had to make do with the live scores. Better than nothing though! I couldn't believe Lewis's 180 count and still having the lower average...

PDC.TV used to work on my phone, doesn't seem to work anymore dang it. I think it was working for the UK Open, definitely for the Worlds. Anyone else able to watch on an android phone recently?

The Matchplay has proved that the best are getting better and the rest are being left behind, becoming like tennis the top 4 on their game are just far too good for the rest. I'd say we'll done phil, but I can't stand him...so I won't,unlucky Adrian, played a brilliant Tournament.

Depends on how you look at things Gaz.
Lot of people online, just not posting shite.
This kind of final always creates a lack of interest.

There has only been 13 in the 21st Century. Most people count 1-100, 101-200, not 0-99, 100-199.
