What's oh dear about it
On my phone I can't see any tweets posted on here. So I am guessing a few pdc players in the last 8?
So the last 8 is:

Dave Askew Vs Robbie Collins
Colin Monk Vs Paul Hogan
Chas Barstow Vs Jamie Kelling
Mike Gillet Vs Josh Burksfield

Still none the wiser why it is an 'oh dear'
Indeed its a pretty strong line up for a local open.
Correct. Bogging for a Tuesday afternoon at Lakeside, but very decent for a local open.

Luke Humphries had entered but was otherwise engaged on Saturday.

Didn’t want to start a thread but think Hearn has suggested tonight that the order of merit is changing to compensate the top heavy money we are getting from some
Majors next year

With the amount of sports in the Olympics which have major issues with drugs, you'd think bringing up booze and fags would be a silly thing to do. Anyway, archery.

she is spot on

Darts is not a sport. Phil Taylor dominated trhe spot when he was in his 50s.
Whitlock played in a world champs in a cast...its not a sport, Its a game, all be it a good game which pays well if you are good at it.

Citing other games that made the Olympics as example of them not being sport is true, but it does not validate things.
Just because other useless shit like archery can get in only proves that archery does not belong, just like darts does not belong.

And before someone say its the Olympic "games" meaning games has a place there, what next / Ludo ? Monopoly ?
There are out of shape people who are out of breath just going to the bar in darts, and they think its a sport.

Clive Woodward hinting about eSports becoming an Olympic sport. I love the Olympics but that thought fills me with dread. That said, i think in Asia the interest would be huge (its the reason why soft tip darts is popular); because they can’t keep their eyes off their smartphones!

The IOC have been very deliberate in recent years in aiming for sports that are popular in terms of viewing figures and interest and excitement. Darts would certainly fit the bill, but I don’t think it should become an Olympic sport (yet) simply based on global participation.

Faster? Ricky Evans
Higher? Double top
Stronger? The smell of Wesley Harms

WADA removed alcohol from the list of banned substances, so maybe darts has a chance.

eSports, please god no.
