It does sound like they have plugged the mic into a small speaker and the venue mics are picking up the sound that way rather than the sound system connected as one. Apart from that, coverage has improved quite a bit since Blackpool.

Think the problem is the audio feed should be direct to a mixing desk of the TV set-up.
But they just are picking up sound from a mic or mics around the stage.
Anyway it sounds rubbish. But not uncommon on Eurosport that they commentate over poor sound quality.
