Every now and then I just get to the stage when I'm bored of darts but then happen to switch on and watch a game like MvG & Thorn.

If MvG and Ando both turn up that semi final could be spectacular.

Reckon Bunting may beat Barney tonight.

I didn't think it was 'lousy', but I do know where you are coming from. Because it ended up being so one-sided, you knew the likely outcome fairly quickly.

The reason the MvG v Robert Thornton game didn't fall in to this category is because Robert never for a second thought the game was lost. The averages and number of 180s proved that for me.

Tonight has a similar feel to it, with the order of the matches switched. I expect Phil to beat Vincent fairly easy - but the Stephen Bunting/Barney match has the potential to be a corker as well.

Why have the PDC suddenly decided to put the higher profile game on first?

Because Taylor has said he doesn't like playing the late games and blamed that on some of previous defeats. Hence he gets his own way and so goes on first tonight.

Maybe they are trying to promote the Barney Bunting game as a "potential classic".

Sooner or later, they will need to plan for life without Taylor being central to their viewing figures

Theyre doing that already as MVG is taking his mantle although he seems an arse .

I think they expect Taylor vs VVDV to be a very one-sided contest. I kind of have to agree.

Barney vs Bunting will be closer I think.

Both 1/4 final nights, they've put the better game (on paper) on second IMO.

I agree. In previous years though I think we would always have seen Taylor get top billing, so I think there is definitely a change here in having a more balanced promotion

Annoying as I wanted to see the Barney Buddha game and then flip over and watch the start of the new series of Benidorm while Taylor was doing his normal destruction job on the poor VdV.

As far as prediction comp goes I hope it is only one.
Looking forward to travelling down tomorrow for semis and final.

Vdv done brilliant there to win his second set in a row. If he can win the next one with throw, the cat might be really amongst the pigeons. :D
