Why doesn't the "Green Machine" take a lot at his own celebrations before complaining about others? Wright did 1 thing in the match which made the crowd's night probably, and yet because he didn't do it himself, MVG thinks the limelight belongs to him and moans like a baby. Great point for Peter there and maybe deserved more.

Trotter this is not play acting like the WWE. MVG is pissing off the rest of the players with his arrogance and they are not going to lie down any longer. Personally I think his reaction is indicative of the pressure he is feeling and he is not responding well to that pressure. For me cue a number of poor tournaments for him going forward. I hope Ando draws him in the last 64 of the UK open as I would be unbelievably confident of Gary not only beating him, but destroying him by at least by 4 legs.

I think it all seems a bit manufactured to me....a bit of mix between boxing and WWE...great hype for the press and Sky and all publicity for future events....I'm sure there's some needle there but it all seems a bit forced, a lot hyped and definitely a bit manufactured.......it doesn't do much for me really....I'm only interested in the quality of the darts.

wouldn't be surprised if it was manufactured, if that is what the players need to keep on top of their game or create some kind of motivation I say go for it. These guys play the same players over and over so I can see certain individuals creating a little drama to motivate themselves. Nothing new its darts been going on for years and years difference is more access to media so the fire burns further but I don't think it is any hotter than its ever been. Certainly more entertaining than listening to Barney moan about blurry vision, getting tired, losing focus......ok you fat git lose some weight, stop the alcohol consumption, get in shape, get on with it or retire. Better than Taylor patronizing about this cracking player, I am 55 ya know, over the moon, I am walking 5 miles a day, I am doing everything right now blah blah blah..........

Not manufactured at all in Mikey's case if you listen to him on Dutch TV speaking out his mind about e.g. Peter's clownesque attitude and image.

He's a great player, Mikey is, but he would be well advised to sometimes watch back some of his irritating match phases. although he's doing the fist pumping stuff less and less often these days, fortunately.

It'S always the same, isn't it?
Same 10 players engaging in pointless exhibition matches, some play good, some play bad and nobody (including several of the players) really cares.
20% of the players being annoying fist weilding gurners does not make it more enjoyable this year, too.

MvG beat Taylor 7-3, Barney beaten by Wade 7-3. Bunting beat Chisnall 7-3 too.

Just got in so not seen any of the matches....

Good comeback for Bunting after his 10-0 at the weekend...he needed a good response and that's 2 wins on the trot now...zooming up the table !

Good win for Wade over Barney...neither looked that good at the UK Open but Barney seems a bit frail mentally at the moment..

I thought MVG would beat Taylor but you never know....Taylor was on Sky yesterday saying MVG was feeling the pressure and it was getting to him....well it didn't look like that in Minehead and I think Taylor was saying it for his own benefit more than anything...

Hope Anderson can forget about Minehead and beat Lewis and hope Huybrechts can beat Wright..although I fancy Lewis and Wright for the wins.
