Event Five will be the International Darts Open at the Sachsenarena Riesa in Germany from June 19-21.

With Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis and James Wade not competing in Riesa, Dutch youngster Benito van de Pas will be seeded for the first time in a European Tour event, a measure of his impressive 12 months on the circuit.

Event Six will be the European Darts Open, to be held from July 10-12 at the Maritim Hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Wade and Anderson return to the field for that tournament, which sees Peter Wright defending the title he won in Dusseldorf last summer.

Lucky? He has still done exceptionally well to still be there or thereabouts surely?

Yeah he did, but when you are on the brink of being included in the top 16 and have some guaranteed money you depend on the other above you not being there. That's what I call the luck in these and it happens for the second time (but because we are talking about two pro tours at the same time we can say that it happens for the 3th and 4th time) this year. But hey, as a big fan of Beaton I can only be very glad with it!

As does Robbie Green's. This is the best chance of qualifying and winning some money for some of these players - for most of them, win two matches and you're there! Good to see Part win a match

Andy Smith is in poor form. He'll be knocked out of a Matchplay spot if Painter or Darren Webster qualifies.

Good. He has been clogging up TV events for too long now.
The interesting thing is that Andy Smith was the one top 32-performing player last year whose match averages fell well short of the overall standard for that performance level. (#25-32 averaged about 92.50 overall on the Pro Tour, Smith was around 89.50, less than top 48 standard.) The pixie dust has stopped working?
