DRA Cases now online again

Post by Ginge »

Apologies if this is old news but it seems that we now know who the "bad boys" are again

The Kirk Shepherd "social media comments" were documented on this very site - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15009&start=60

Depends what you type.

If I worked for the BBC and I Tweeted that "everyone at the BBC is a w*nker", dont you think I would be reprimanded?

Same for footballers slagging off their clubs, or Americans golfers slagging off the PGA (the tour they earn their living on)

And when his ban of darts starts. As far as I know he has not been 3 months out yet.

It was a three month suspended ban

Well it happened on the 22nd November, in Coventry

He lost very early that day.

Sorry, as a non-native speaker I am not aware of the difference between a suspended ban and a non-suspended ban, because as far as I know from Football Manager a suspension means that a player was ineligible for the next match, but apparantly it is meant as a provisional ban: once more and you will get the ban?

"Suspended" means it will only activate should he offend again, usually within a set period of time.

Might be missing the point with the alcohol thing, is it that your not allowed any at the venue at all? Or is it that you aren't allowed to bring your own in?

There is a bar at every venue so much in the same way that you are not allowed to take your own bevvy in to pubs the same applies here and rightly so in my opinion.

Yes I also agree, I thought it was odd as every tournament I went to years ago had bars, wondered whether it was a new thing.......so Shaun Griffiths drinking during a game (alledgedly) I presume was a live TV Game??

I made the mistake at the Eastbourne Open once of moving an old Scottish players coat! Jesus it must have had half a brewery sewn into it.

No, it was on the 22nd March, so at the Challenge Tour. You are only allowed water during a match and this applies to matches on screen and on the floor - he must have had a pint on the table behind him and was seen drinking it.

And you dont need to say "allegedly", given he was found guilty of it :D

£100 for not marking. I guess it's in the rules for someone to mark for you? if so why not 'pay' someone a tenner to do it for you and save yourself £90?

Sneaking alcohol in: what are the bar prices like at these events? total ripoff or are players trying to save 50p here and there?

Hamilton doing a couple of exbo's near me this month; Bacup and Accrington - the north west is a glamorous place folks. Free entry: I thought PDC players were massive superstars of the sporting world?

Ah yes, he was one of the lucky few on that list who got away with it :D

May have been just hearsay and they were unable to prove it.
