Players Championship 17/18 Dublin

THE entries for the Players Championship double-header in Dublin on Friday October 2 and Saturday October 3 have been confirmed.

The PDC ProTour double-header will see 128 PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members competing for £60,000 in prize money on each day at the Citywest Hotel.

The events will be the penultimate Players Championship double-header of the year, and come ahead of the partypoker.com World Grand Prix, which begins at the Citywest Hotel on Sunday October 4.

Each Players Championship will start at 12pm, with the draw being made at 11am following the close of registration. All games are the best of 11 legs.

Results updates will be available at www.pdc.tv and through http://live.dartsdata.com.

I get what your saying with these but I actually think that mixing a few pro tour weekends up during the year with a double start or set play could a good way to go. Maybe do it for a Euro event.

i think that good idea have like one of the greman euro tour events doubble start i thik euro tours later stages should be different from normal pro tours

RVB would be better off being a floater in the draw than playing MVG in Round 2

The 32nd seeding means that he will play the No.1 seed(MVG) in the board final (Round 3) should they both progress, but as a floater,Barney could have drawn one of the top seeds in the first round. Luck of the draw, I suppose.

Remember Ando missing the final event before 2010 World Championship to avoid becoming the 32nd seed at Ally Pally, thus avoiding Taylor, but made no difference as he went out in the last 32 anyway, losing to Ronnie Baxter.

Think moral of the story is that, the more events you play in, the more money you win, the higher your ranking.

You mean 'sin bin' Zeyes. Penalty box is where the action is :) .

Does go to show though that players (even if they disagree with their punishment and the power of the disciplinary committee) will come back once sentence is served.
