Great to see the days of folk being 'bitter' or angry at folks moving to the pdc are now gone. No waffle about disloyal etc but loads of "well done guys and we hope you do well".

We had all this before with Alan Norris and Robbie Green and others when they got their cards..early reports on how they are doing and then completely assigned to history....won't be long before Durrant ,Whitehead , McGeeney and Baker will be forgotten about and then the next line of switchers will be congratulated...

like former bdo #1s like stuart kellet, steve farmer, james wilson, stephen bunting etc...all who made little to zero impact, despite them being heralded. ?

Like former lakeside winners Kist, webster etc who have done nothing of note in the pdc. ?

Steve Farmer was an ex number 1?

For about 1 week at a start of the season. Then he joined the PDC and got to the final of a pro tour event

So he won the first event at the start of the season which meant he was #1 in the YTD rankings but not the rolling rankings?

Not really the same as being #1, tbh.

By the same logic Adam Smith-Neale was a BDO number 1 then as he won the first ranking event of the 2018/19 season. Utter guff.

oddly those that did well in the bdo have fared badly in the pdc...kist, webster, bunting, kellet, wilson, kong, etc

Yet those who did little of nothing in the BDO have done better in the PDC.
MVG did not reach his peak til he was in the PDC, as with Ando, Wade, Mensur.

Then there is the likes of Whitlock who played PDC before BDO, then went to the bdo and back to the PDC,
Chizzy who won win a major ever, no matter where he plays.

Is this trend continues then Durrant who was a success in the BDO could be a flop.
