These fanatics groups are essentially an extension of the BDO itself, if you don't fit in with their views then you're out.
They are just interested in people who agree with them.

Never seen much comments on there from the BDO. It's mainly Egerton's page isn't it?
I'm not sure what's worse: the fact Egerton thinks we might not realise Fanatics and the TSOD discussion group are different things, or that there's an actual word for flight collectors.
As 'The Flight of Flights’ was being constructed, I wondered if there was a specific word for 'dart flight collectors'. After all, stamp collectors have a proper name - ‘philatelists’ - so why not collectors of darts flights? After much digging I discovered that there was no such epithet. Undeterred, I wrote to the Queen’s English Society (QES) and requested their help.
In July 1988, J. W. Clifton of the QES, a man who admitted that he ‘reveled in word-coinage’, came up with a word for me constructed from ‘belos’ meaning ‘dart’, ‘pteros’ meaning ‘flight’ and the suffix ‘philist’ meaning ‘collector’. Thus a new word was born: ‘belopterophilist’ – a darts flight collector – and this was revealed exclusively to darts fans across the world Darts Player 89..

They're also very interested, in fact almost fanatical, about not turning up and supporting BDO Competitions. Strange that.

Whilst I'm impressed by this guy's attention to detail, if a word is longer and more difficult to pronounce than the thing it's describing then that word is probably surplus to requirements.

Firstly, thanks for taking your right hand off you dick long enough to type me a response, secondly, my people skills??? Hmmmm, my success, in part, is down to the fact, I can mix it with the best of them, I've had dinner with corporate bosses, and I've struck deals with "Tarmac layers", (and after owning night clubs, and building and renting out close to 100 properties), what I'm saying is 100% true, so in actual fact it's quite fitting I'm talking in a shitty way to complete shit bags, but let me make this clear, I don't know where the stories on here start from, but you can all have my word now, it's never been our intention to take over the BDO, we have no intention of taking over the BDO, I'm not sure even if we had any of those intentions that we actually could. My Mrs 59 years old, when SHE decides to quit darts, that will be it, and we will be doing all the things a heavy darts schedule does not allow. Rather than making snap decisions, you might just try asking, you might not like the answers, but at least it will be the truth!! Now I'll let you get back to your "self gratification" winker.
A worthy exchange to bump the thread with. Names changed to protect the innocent
