MvG is winning for about 3 years now and if you don't get used to being 10 legs in front during that period you'll probably never be. I wouldn't mind an exaggerated celebreation at the end, but doing a Rumpelstilzkin impersonation after each and every good throw and/or leg is (to me) just a sign of severe mental disorder. And even worse, of total disrespect for the opponent.
The problem I see is one of monkey see, monkey do and there are a load of young players out there who think it is perfectly acceptable, I'm old school so I think it shows a total lack of respect and these kids are going to start doing this and the game will start to go to the dogs, sooner or later when this new batch progresses the TV companies will realise that they have an image problem and drop darts like a stone.
Very interesting opinion is that and in the future your opinion may well be proven.
Typical Taylor bullshit. Not happy with MvG jumping around - Taylor jumps around more than anyone the patronising clown.
Well done MvG - best player all week. All PDC majors at the age of 26 - incredible. Can go on and win many many more, he won't win as many as Taylor because the standard is incredible these days but MvG is hitting heights at the age of 26 that Taylor didn't hit until he was 45.
34 100+ averages this week. The standard is gone through the roof.

Neither player doubled out well, but for me it is the pressure doubles which have again cost Taylor dearly, and this has been consistent over the last 12 months. Sometimes he is getting 3 darts to take out a pivotal leg, and the Taylor of old, would very rarely pass up these chances.

Agree with all this.

Apparently Taylor complained to Van Gerwen about his celebrations after the match. MVG was not very happy about it; in fact he was in tears aftwards in the interview with RTL7. MVG did say Phil simply has to deal with it because he will do it again next time...
