on form is Montgomery at present.....however it is a crazy situation when the BDO advertise Lakeside points and then completely change it when players are already there meaning no points for a last 32 place at the last minute....this is becoming a regular thing and makes the events a bit of a farce and how they can expect players to keep travelling is beyond me....no wonder travelling players in the BDO are becoming less and less
I think a re vamp is needed and allow privately promoted events all over the country to have gauranteed points..events like the Granite Open give good pay outs and events like these should count because the system now is a joke and the top level BDO is becoming ever more a closed little shop for a very few top players which surely is not what the BDO should be about at all

i bet they didnt downgrade the points as they do the ladies they just dont award them all the way down, deta is now only 10 points ahead of trina yet on her 10 box scores has lost over 20 points ie turkey advertised as 20 she won it and got 14 which isnt in her top 10 scores now , lost 4points in each of antwerp, mariflex and in the classic 6 points, we entered these events for the points advertised not detas fault entries were low

exactly...it's expensive for a player to travel anyway but you would try and pick a schedule based on points offered only to find this completely changes when you get there and the goalposts are moved....how hard is that for a player to take
The BDO needs new events for its players but also needs to look at this situation as it does nobody any favours

Post of the effing decade :DDD: :DDD: :DDD:

Thing is, he might be there next year if he accepts the Tour Card for reaching the Lakeside semi's.

Just back from Braintree. Some of the darts were a joy to watch. Tony O'Shea v Stuart Kellett a class game. Mark Barilli v Gary Robson. Barilli had two 12 darters and a 13 as well as 2 10 darters earlier in the day. Montgomery was awesome all day. Consistently finishing in 15 or less.
