In all the excitement and anticipation of the run up to the 'Players Championships', it's worth noting that the second #newera event will be upon us in no time. About 9 weeks in fact.

Has anyone (including players?) got any details of this? We know it is at the Rainton Meadows Arena in Durham, is that it?

I think this is also the event that Paul and IFM alluded to in the huge 'new BDO events' thread, as potentially being the event that we can get start to properly excited about. On that basis is it already a bit late for major Sponsor/TV news?

Or is not until May (World Trophy) that we will actually get 'sickening' 'external funding'

Wont be much different to the one in London next month, although you can probably increase the field up to 32 therefore an extra couple of grand prize money and a qualifier for 8 spots.

Nice to see one of the organisations bringing a tournament to the north east. All we ever get is one premier league per season up here.

That's the one. The weather was terrible and affected the crowds massively. I don't live far away but it took me over two hours to go what would normally take 15 mins.

With 8 week to go, the Players Championships at least had tickets on sale (the Shownights '100' tickets that they were selling for a while) whereas this event really has nothing said about it at all.
