THE WORLDS BEST DARTS PLAYERS ARE BACK FOR THE DUBAI DUTY FREE DARTS MASTERS
EIGHT of the world’s top darts players are heading back to Dubai for its fourth event- Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters - which will be played on May 26 & 27 at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium as the first leg of the PDC's World Series of Darts 2016.
Michael van Gerwen, the reigning Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters Champion, will head the field of eight players, to try to win an unprecedented fourth straight title. van Gerwen will be joined by seven world-class rivals in competing in the two-day event at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, which will be shown live across the Middle East on Dubai Sports TV, with further live coverage to be confirmed.
After making his debut at the Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters 2015, two-time World Champion, Gary Anderson will return to try and claim this title for the first time. "I am very much looking forward to returning to Dubai," said Anderson.
"Having just retained the World Championship, I want to try and take this title off MVG. The atmosphere was fantastic in the Dubai Tennis Stadium last year and I enjoyed playing in our only outdoor World Series Event!”
The greatest player in darts, Phil “The Power” Taylor is also back in Dubai and will be joined by two-time World Champion Adrian Lewis. The other 4 players will be announced in the next few weeks to make up the top 8 players.
The players will initially compete in four knockout quarter-final matches on Thursday May 26, before the semi-finals and final are held on Friday May 27 to determine the Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters champion and the winner of the $200,000 prize fund.
Dubai Duty Free, who have signed a new exclusive partnership agreement for Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters, continue to title sponsor the event in Dubai. Commenting on the continued relationship, Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman of Dubai Duty Free said: “This is the fourth year for this tournament which has grown in popularity and attracts the top players who love competing in Dubai. The outdoor venue at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, the enthusiastic crowds and the worldwide viewership, combine to make this a great social and sporting event”
Having seen the success of bringing PDC darts to the region, Qantas and JW Marriot have continued their partnership with the Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters as Official Partners. The two industry giants will be offering exclusive package flight and hotel deals for the tournament, in conjunction with Dubai Tourism, to ensure fans across the globe can visit Dubai for a tournament that is now truly established in the Dubai events Calendar. Sixt Car Hire is also continuing their partnership for the fourth year.
Having signed exclusive Media Partnership deals, Darts fans in Dubai will now get to see the best players in darts live, in addition to the live television coverage of PDC events on Dubai Sports TV & OSN. 7Days, Time Out and Arabian Network’s Dubai Eye, Dubai 92 and Virgin radio have also signed on as Official Media Partners; the Dubai Duty Free Darts Masters will also be supported Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Calendar.
PDC CEO Matt Porter.

AED799 = £150
AED199 = £37.42
Just converting for those interested how prices compare to the UK events.

Well it wouldn't surprise me, RVB doesn't enter anything anymore, only goes to the tv comps.
Though Taylor got away with it for years but then he was No1
