Problem is most of the guys there are just there for a jolly up with mates see who they are playing and give it I've got no hope might as well not bother just stay at the bar and get on it. Wud be better of running to comps like they did at Yarmouth few years back 128 with a £50 entry with ranking points. 1 with £10 entry for the guys there for a jolly up

It is the downside of these big weekends, the vast majority of the players there are just on the piss up for the weekend and couldnt care less whats happening.

It is madness to start a ranking event with 300 entries at 6pm though. I once went to a GSOD qualifier that started at 7 with 160 odd entrants and that didnt finish until gone 11pn (and they had to add 6 boards midway through), even with good planning this was never going to end before 1am.

Up to 20 minutes ago they were only at the last 64 stage, Ross just posted saying he has withdrawn and gone to bed and someone said Duzza gave up in his game and lost 4-0. The England open singles start at 9am!

End of the day if you are going to keep taking all these entries you need to be sure you can handle it.

Factors I see being discussed like casual players not caring enough, lack of markers etc etc are things they should completely expect when you take that many entries and with their experience.
